The artist, Lucretia Torva, has lived in Phoenix for 23 years, 20 of those as a self-employed artist and decorative painter. She paints murals as well as canvases, is represented by 9 The Gallery, and participates in a variety of shows both locally and nationally. Her murals can be found throughout Downtown Phoenix (Alta Fillmore Apartments, Alwun House, FQ Story historic neighborhood, and Oak Street Alley). She has also painted murals during her travels in both France and Nepal. Even though she has been painting for over 40 years, having received her MFA from the University of Illinois in 1982, she continually grows and develops her ideas and skills. Her examination and questioning of reality is part of her spiritual journey, and it’s important that she share it with others. You can see more of her work here: www.TorvaFineArt.com
